Sapphire Woman Pathways (SWP) is a nonprofit organization located in St. Petersburg, FL that offers re-entry services to female returning citizens. Our mission is to support women offenders in healing from their pasts, speaking their minds, and gaining their strengths by providing counseling, education, and community pathways. There are over 5,000 women offenders in the criminal system of Pinellas County. Many of them were return offenders due to the lack of social support and programming. We plan to change that with our counseling, educational, and community pathways services! Women are 58% more likely to recidivate than their male counterparts due to a lack of resources that support re-entry. SWP plans to decrease the recidivism rate of women offenders in Pinellas County, Florida by providing resources to the underserved female population. You can reach us at (727) 370-9245 to find out more about us and to take part in creating better opportunities for women.
