How Does SWP Plan to Create Change?
In doing the work and research Sapphire Woman Pathways is fully educated and aware of the social support gaps that exist within this underserved population. But we can close that gap by creating and providing opportunities that consist of individual and group counseling, education, community service opportunities, employment resources, life skills, and youth wellness services for their children ages 6 and up. These essential pathways are necessary to empower and support women offenders' successful re-entry into their communities.
Women who enroll in our program are choosing to add value to a life that has been devalued. She is choosing to be courageous and unstoppable when every door has been closed (if a door even existed.) Our 2 ½ year program will provide access to both groups and course pathways of counseling, education, and community service opportunities. With our partnership with the Department of Corrections, SW will have the opportunity to serve over 300 women a year!
